Summer is one of my favorite seasons of the year. Great weather, fun activities, family time, vacations and the list keep going- right!
We spend most of our time enjoying outdoor activities and taking full advantage of the amazing weather. However, this comes along with the danger of sun exposure and potential damage to our skin.
Remember those days of spending endless hours at the beach with the goal of getting that gorgeous gold skin tone to show off?
Well, there is nothing wrong with relaxing at your pool or the beach but there are some considerations you will need to take into account. “Exposure to sun causes most of the wrinkles and age spots on our faces. Consider this: A woman at age 40 who has protected her skin from the sun actually has the skin of a 30-year-old!” (www.WebMed.com)
When you are exposed to UV lights your skin produces more melanin and causes your skin to darken, but too much exposure can cause sunburn which can lead to damage or kill skin cells.
Here are some useful tips to take under consideration this summer to help care for your skin.
