Laser Treatments:

IPL
Our Intense Pulse Light (IPL) Treatments are used to treat the outer layer of the skin through the delivery of varying wavelengths in each pulse of light. IPL treatments, or photofacials, can be performed on the face, neck, chest, and hands to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. In addition to this, IPL Treatments can reduce age spots, spider veins, acne scars, and facial redness. IPL Treatments are non-destructive, and because they are non-ablative (meaning your top layer of skin remains intact) there is no down-time.
Tightening
As aging occurs, our skin naturally loses elasticity. Our Palomar LuxDeepIR laser generates infrared light that is disbursed through pulses and heats the skin. Stimulation from the laser light increases your skin’s density, causing your skin to be more stretched, resulting in firmer, tighter skin. There is no down-time associated with this non-surgical procedure, and a typical laser tightening treatment usually takes about 30 minutes or less. Depending on the patient, the amount of treatments necessary may vary, but results will be evident.
Resurfacing
Wrinkles and fine lines can disappear with laser skin resurfacing. Palomar’s Lux1540 uses laser energy microbeams to create areas of affected tissues of the skin, which initiates the body’s natural healing process to generate new, healthy tissue. The fractional restructuring laser does its job after being split into 100 smaller laser beams so that the smallest portions of the skin are able to be reached. The specialized laser is able to resurface imperfections, while preserving the already healthy zones of the skin. Just like our other laser solutions, skin resurfacing requires no down time and minimal discomfort.

Botox/Dysport/Dermal Fillers
Our skin, the largest organ of the human body, naturally becomes more compact with age as less oxygen and nutrients are able to flow through it. These, along with other factors such as exposure to the sun, contribute to our aging skin. To combat the most obvious sign of aging- wrinkles- muscle relaxation treatments have been used for years in the medical aesthetics field. Although their uses are extensive, Botox and Dysport are most commonly used for treating the appearance of loose skin and skin folds.
Your dynamic wrinkles, the wrinkles that appear as repeated movement occurs in underlying muscles, can be treated with Botox or Dysport. These are the wrinkles that usually come into sight with age. After the medicine has been injected into your skin, the treatment works by blocking the nerve impulses that create muscle activity underneath the surface. This blocks the formation of lines and wrinkles on your face.
The goal of Botox or Dysport injections isn’t just to remove wrinkles. These products can help you attain a natural softening of the face for a youthful appearance. In addition, Botox can be used to shape specific areas of the face to achieve brow lifts, conceal dimpled chins, or treat “drooping” noses, bulging jaw muscles, and crow’s feet.
In addition to Botox and Dysport, VIP also offers Injectable Dermal Fillers for similar purposes. A range of Dermal Filler options are available (such as Restylane, Juvederm, Perlane, and Radiesse) and can also be used to correct facial lines. Additionally, hollow cheeks/eyes, receding chins, thinning lips, and unfavorable jaw lines and cheekbones can be corrected. We use Dermal Fillers that are chemically compatible with the human skin so that the chance of a negative reaction is minimized.

Chemical Peels/Microdermabrasion
It is never too early to start taking care of your skin. Considered a “gold standard” among dermatologists, chemical peels are a great start to achieving younger and healthier skin. Some common aging issues that can be easily corrected by applying a medical grade chemical peel include uneven skin tone, pigmented or vascular lesions, and wrinkles.
There are a variety of chemical peels available, each offering unique benefits, but the main goal of a chemical treatment is to promote exfoliation of the skin. When the epidermis is thinned and wounded through exfoliation, your body’s lymph flow is increased which generates blood flow and fluid replacement. After your body’s skin goes through abrasion, it naturally begins healing itself. Since thinning the epidermis allows for a greater flow of blood and nutrients, ultimately a chemical peel cleanses and tones the skin. In addition, this process reduces wrinkle precursors that could normally be seen in the skin.
Your face can have a more youthful appearance after a chemical peel is applied. It’s texture will be improved once dead skin is shed off, and the regenerated skin will be smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. When used in conjunction with a medical chemical peel, microdermabrasion can also provide benefits for damaged skin. By resurfacing the skin, maximum exfoliation is reached leaving the skin fresh and healthy.
